Each en suite chalet celebrates the expansive views with private decks, landscape-facing lounges, and thoughtful furnishings that mirror the region. There is one family chalet, which has two interleading, en suite rooms, each with private decks and seating areas.

The lodge’s main areas are designed for both comfort and connection to nature, with a variety of indoor and outdoor lounging spaces and multi-level decks that offer exceptional game viewing—elephants are frequent visitors.

A high-level deck features a telescope for stargazing and wildlife spotting, while a photographic hide brings you eye‑level with the vibrant life around the waterhole directly in front of the lodge. Guests especially love the fire deck and dining area—perfect spots to unwind with a drink and take in the region’s ever-changing scenes.

A bar also awaits in the main area, ready with your favourite drink or signature cocktail. The pool, also overlooking the waterhole, completes this inviting setting, where the landscape and its wildlife—big cats, buffalo, birds, and more—take centre stage.

You’ll find all the mod cons at this stylishly authentic tented camp on the Chobe River in northern Botswana’s Chobe National Park, home to some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Mobile camps are the best way to get really close to the game (Chobe under Canvas changes site every five or six days), and little compares with the awe-inspiring experience of falling asleep to the nocturnal desert chorus. Prepare yourself for amazing up-close game-viewing, staff whose light-hearted attitude is combined with an excellent knowledge of the area and its animals and birds, and luxury accommodation.

Matetsi River House is a safari on your own terms (we like it already!) Set on the private Matetsi Reserve next to its sister camp, Matetsi River Lodge, the 8-person house has the best of both worlds – a private butler, chef and guide, and access to all the facilities of the lodge, including the swimming pool, spa and wine cellar. A 30 minute drive will take you straight to the Falls and the plethora of heart-stopping activities that go with it, but if you fancy staying closer to home, there’s lots to keep you busy on the reserve, from walks to boating trips to fishing.
