Check in to Tau Pan Camp
Central Kalahari, Botswana
Tau Pan is a simple but comfortable camp perched on the ridge of an ancient sand dune, giving it wonderful views over the limitless plains of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The Kalahari is known as a thirstland because for much of the year there is very little standing water – Tau Pan, however, is built beside a permanent waterhole. The camp has been constructed with the environment in mind, utilising only solar power to generate electricity, pumping water from deep beneath the desert and treating waste water before returning it to the ground.
Why you’ll love it
The remote, untethered atmosphere is unbeatable, especially on clear nights spent round the fire pit listening to the sounds of the bush.

Check in to Nxai Pan Camp
Makgadikgadi, Botswana
Some places you simply must see. Located in the northeastern block of Botswana, Nxai Pan is a fossil lakebed that once formed part of the ancient Makgadikgadi Lake (a body of water the size of Switzerland). With seasonal rains—falling roughly from November to April—the bare pans grow thick with grass, becoming productive sites for game viewing. During the dry season, the wildlife retreats into the vast hinterlands. No matter what season, the landscape is a dramatic spectacle. Visit the iconic Baines’ Baobabs, a cluster of seven gnarled, ancient trees looming imposingly above the flat expanse.
Why you’ll love it
There are no barriers between the camp and the wild, which means game viewing from the pool and elephant wandering past your room.

Check in to Mma Dinare
Moremi, Okavango Delta, Botswana
The Okavango Delta is close to our hearts – a geologically unusual depression of desert that traps run-off water from mountains nearly 1000 kilometres away, thanks to three well-placed fault lines. Those fissures are the difference between a vast wetland that sustains a bounty of wildlife, and a muddy seep. Mma Dinare (mother buffalo) is a new jewel of a lodge at the south-east edge of the delta, overlooking the Gomoti River and its sprawl of wildlife-filled floodplains. Set within a private concession of 27000-plus hectares, there’s an immense wilderness that’s just waiting for you to explore its treasures.
Light aircraft transfer
Today you’ll fly by light aircraft to Maun in time to connect to your onward flight. You might make a stop or two on route depending on the schedule on the day. The exact time of the departure will be communicated to you by camp management.

Check in to Kwara Camp
Central Okavango, Okavango Delta, Botswana
Kwara is all about the wildlife experience. The private concession in the north-eastern Okavango Delta is commonly regarded as having some of the best game viewing in Botswana. Regular sightings of Africa’s large predators mean it’s a fabulous spot for those dying to see lion, leopard, wild dogs etc. Kwara sits at the junction of a huge expanse of dry land to the north, and permanent floodplains and deep channels to the west, making both water and land-based activities available year-round. The camp is simple, yet comfortable, and most importantly provides access to one of the Okavango’s most productive areas.
